Campsite reservations are up over last year

I found an Interesting article from the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. The article shows a double-digit increase in camping reservations from last year.

Now that money is tight, more families are starting to turn to camping as a way to save the annual vacation trip. Online reservations for county type campgrounds are also noted in the article.

We have noted in prior posts, that the county parks can be a great way to find a site, especially when some of the state parks are full. While it is nice that more people are discovering camping, long-term campers will need to start getting reservation further in advance to guarantee a spot at your favorite campground.

I have included links below to a couple county parks sites. I have personally stayed at Mt Madonna County Park in Santa Clara County and will be returning during the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend.
